In order to learn and iterate products, designers have to be able to measure the success of their work. Too often, the measurement is left to other members of the team – product managers, data scientists or business analysts. Without a detailed view of in-product behavior, it’s hard to know what is working and what’s not.
This session will cover how to build your metrics stack from the ground up including event naming, tool selection and reporting out data. For those working in larger organizations, they will come away with a sense of how they could get involved with an existing stack. Those in smaller organizations will have the resources they need to start working hands on with data.
